Help Center - Troubleshooting Guide

Before requesting a service call, try these simple steps. They solve most common problems on the spot.

❄️ Issue: Fluid isn’t dispensing / pump isn’t working

Possible Causes & Fixes:

  • Frozen Fluid or Tank?
If it’s cold outside, your fluid might be frozen. Make sure you’re using Winter Wash (-25°F) or Extreme Winter Wash (-35°F).
👉 Quick fix: Warm the tank room or gently agitate the tank to break up any slush. Never use open flame or heating devices.

  • Check the Nozzle or Hose:
Kinks or blockages in the hose can stop flow.
👉 Quick fix: Uncoil the hose fully and look for twists or crimps. Straighten the line and try again.

  • Dispensing Gun Not Seated Properly?
Sometimes the nozzle isn’t fully clicked in or may be cross-threaded.
👉 Quick fix: Disconnect, realign, and reconnect securely.

💧 Issue: Fluid is leaking from around the tank or hose

Possible Causes & Fixes:

  • Loose connection or fitting?
Vibration or daily use can sometimes loosen a fitting.
👉 Quick fix: Hand-tighten the hose connection or nozzle. If the leak persists, note the location and submit a service request.

  • Overfilling or expansion?
    Fluids expand when temperatures change.
👉 Quick fix: Check fluid level. If it’s above the fill line, remove excess with a clean siphon or bucket.

📉 Issue: You’re running low faster than expected

Possible Causes & Fixes:

  • New hires or increased usage?
Check if anyone is overfilling or using fluid outside of standard procedures.

  • Is there a slow leak?
Look under and around the tank for damp spots or drips.

👉 Pro tip: Take a photo of the tank level at the same time each day to track usage over a week. That can help CM BULK adjust your refill schedule.

🧼 Issue: Fluid is smearing on windshields instead of cleaning

Possible Causes & Fixes:

  • Outdated Summer Formula?
Bug Wash doesn’t work well in freezing temps.
👉 Quick fix: Switch to Winter Wash (-25°F) or Extreme Winter Wash (-35°F) in cold seasons.

  • Old or contaminated fluid?
If fluid has been sitting too long in an unused system, it may need to be flushed.
👉 Quick fix: Dispense 1–2 gallons into a bucket and check if it clears up.
